  • 2 Libra Ground beef preferably without lean ground beef
  • 4 slices of fresh bread processed foods
  • bowl Meat soup I used Better Than Bouillon Beef Base ** MAKE SURE YOU READ THE NOTES BELOW
  • 1 ½ soup spoon English sauce
  • 2 Owner easily beaten
  • 1 Award ground thyme *see spice notes
  • 2 pinches dry sauce
  • 1 soup spoon vegetable oil
  • 4 Garlic cloves hacked
  • 2 bags diced red onion
  • Sal for taste
  • Pfeffer for taste

brown frosting

  • ½ bowl Ketchup
  • 4 soup spoon light brown sugar about 4-5 tablespoons
  • 2 teaspoon Pfeffer Optional


  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Cover the entire top and sides of a baking sheet with heavy-duty aluminum foil.See notes.Fill a roasting pan or roasting pan with water and place on the bottom rack of the oven. *See notes.

  • Place the vegetable oil in a medium-sized skillet over medium-high heat. When the oil is hot, add the onions and cook until soft, about 6 to 8 minutes. A minute before the onions are cooked, add the garlic.

  • Cook until fragrant (about 30 seconds). Remove the onions and garlic from the pan and let cool for about 5 minutes.

  • In a small bowl, add the fresh breadcrumbs, eggs, Worcestershire sauce and beef broth. Mix gently. Let the breadcrumbs soak for 5 minutes.

  • Place the ketchup, pepper and brown sugar in a bowl. Mix well. Book for later.

  • Use a bowl big enough for the ground beef and breadcrumb mixture. Add the ground beef to the bowl with all the spices, salt and pepper. Add the breadcrumbs, onion and garlic mixture and mix gently.

  • For easy cleanup (optional), place bread on a baking sheet lined with heavy-duty aluminum foil or line with parchment paper. Model the meat into a bun. Pour just half of the brown sugar ketchup over the meatloaf. Place meatloaf on wire rack just above pan of water.

  • Roast for 45-60 minutes or until temperature on meat thermometer reads 165 degrees Fahrenheit.*See notes🇧🇷 Brush the meatloaf with the remaining ketchup sauce and serve with mashed potatoes and vegetables.

Tough meatloaf is not good- Mix the ground beef with a light touch into the egg, bread and onion mixture. Do not mix too much.

Juicy and tender meatloaf -Fill a baking dish with water. Place it on the bottom shelf of the oven. Place the meatloaf on the shelf just above the water cooler. Fill with water.

Easy cleaning -Line the baking sheet with parchment paper or heavy-duty aluminum foil. I used parchment paper for this recipe because I didn't have foil BUT I prefer to use foil. The baking sheet is kept a little cleaner with foil.

rest -Let the cooked meatloaf rest for about 10 to 15 minutes before slicing.

Proper storage of properly packaged frozen meatloaf meatloaf will last up to 3 months. When ready to bake, let it thaw in the fridge overnight and continue with the cooking instructions as per the recipe.
